Maths for all

Unlock your potential in mathematics

Antonio Marcucci

Background

My name is Antonio Marcucci. I hold a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, one of the best universities in Italy for engineering studies. I spent the final year of my five-year degree course at Leeds University, England, thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. Maths was a considerable part of my academic studies and one of my passions in life.

At the age of forty I decided to become a teacher after fifteen years' experience in the Telecoms industry, where I covered a wide range of roles, starting as a software developer and finishing off as a sales director. I spent about ten of those years in England and five years in Italy, giving me invaluable international experience. After completing my secondary Maths teacher training (PGCE) at Brookes University in Oxford in 2009, I started teaching Maths at **Faringdon Community College**, an 11-18 co-educational secondary comprehensive school in Oxfordshire. My teaching skills and subject knowledge have produced excellent results; my students have acquired knowledge, developed understanding and learnt and applied skills.
